The Café at Pinnacle Peak

Hours: 7am - 2pm Daily

The General Store at Pinnacle Peak Village, although located only a few miles north of the heart of Scottsdale, recalls a Western past that is fast becoming a relic. It was built in 1977, along the old dirt road that went to Pinnacle Peak Patio and Reata Pass. The General Store's lack of years is redeemed by its old fashioned charm. It was the first store and Post Office serving this area, which originally had a mere 200 families.

Inside you will find a variety of interesting items for the history buff and the neighborhood customer. The Post Office, which operates within, was dismantled and shipped from Bangor, Maine, together with the original barred windows and letter boxes. But history aside, it is still a functioning United State Post Office. Our signature food products have been a staple here for over 30 years.

Since opening, the General Store housed Arizona's first privately financed weather and solar energy measuring station. Don't forget to consult the "Geochron Clock", which shows a map of the world. You can determine the time, day and date of any location in the world, as well as seeing where it is night and day. But the real charm is the General Store itself. It takes you back to a slower time, with its plank floors and 1940's soda fountain.

Enjoy!
